On 23 July 2018, our Bry Street housing development project was awarded one of twelve "Honorary Awards for Good Housing". These are on display from 24 July to 31 August at the Local Building Commission Service Centre, in an exhibition.
This year, the City of Munich has awarded the "Honorary Prize for Good Housing" for the 14th time. The award is 50 years old this year. The prize has been promoting quality in housing construction since 1968 and thus honours the initiative and open-mindedness of developers for new concepts and ideas. The award also recognises the extent to which they respond to the needs of the residents.
The award is given to housing complexes and residential buildings that are innovative, flexible in use and sustainable, as well as offering community-promoting facilities. Distinctive spatial qualities, an attractive living environment with usable private open spaces, diverse communication and recreation areas as well as a successful connection to the surroundings are important.
The award is aimed at developers and owners of subsidised and privately financed housing projects in Munich, new buildings or refurbishments completed between 2015 and 2018.
