The police station in Grünwald, located in a former administrative building built in 1953, is situated on the main road of the community. The task was to renovate the building's energy efficiency, redesign the entrance situation and landscape the surrounding gardens.
By installing a full thermal insulation and renovating the roof, the building will be upgraded in terms of energy efficiency in accordance with the Energy Saving Ordinance.
In the course of the renovation of the façade, the strict axis-symmetrical order is emphasised by a pronounced relief effect. The installation of metal window boxes, which also accommodate the new, exterior sun protection, and a surrounding frieze made of golden anodised aluminium will again enhance the public building.
